About Donna & Norma of Phoenix Serenity Villa & Tours and Your Phoenix is Rising Wellness Center:
Welcome to our home in Negril Jamaica. I am a Registered Nurse and certified Nurse coach who believes in natural and alternative medicine. My partner Norma is one of the most gifted Massage Therapists that I know. We have experienced all kinds of modalities for healing. The best modality that we have found is just rest and relaxation. We encourage clients to connect to optimal health by hitting the pause button in order to replenish the body's energy.
When I migrated from Jamaica at 16 years old, it was always my dream to return and to share my home with my friends. My personal trauma could not keep me away from my people and the land. My culture was everywhere. The food, the music, the love, never left me. Family stuff aside, I needed to be swimming in the clear sea and walking in the lush hills to soothe my soul. As an adult, I have been healing myself and have returned to my island home to rest and replenish my body, mind and spirit. Serenity villa in Negril, is a peaceful respite from the busyness of my everyday life. Norma is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has the most blessed hands you will ever encounter. In order to help to heal humanity, we have created this wellness retreat and respite home with our amazing children and grandchildren.
I now go to Jamaica to reset and recharge. I invite you to do the same at our beautiful vacation villa. Some people like the peaceful quiet of our home at Phoenix Serenity Villa and may hardly leave the property. Guests may decide to take in the sun on a yoga mat on the soft grass or just have a drink or smoke on the veranda. Others may decide to have an occasional (10 mins) walk to the beach or to visit our neighborhood bars and restaurants within walking distance from the house. Others, may prefer to light up the town. For those who long for adventure and nightlife, Negril does not disappoint! Negril has a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops, and resorts (you can experience them with a day or night pass, the best of both worlds). The iconic Seven Mile Beach is only a short car ride away.
Book now to begin the journey to your transformative Jamaican vacation. I can't wait to see you there. Big up yuself and welcome to Jam rock!
One love,
Donna & Norma & Phoenix Serenity Partners

Most of our rooms have one bed and are suitable for sharing the bed (a couple, parent & child, very close friends etc..) if you are traveling alone please consider a single bed in the Vitality Room OR contact us to discuss a single room rate to have the room to yourself.
We reserve the right to not have kids unless we are hosting a family. The reason for this is that a lot of adults want to escape the kids for couple time. To be fair to other people, we limit kids only to family events. Thanks for understanding.
Explore in our own van, lovingly called "Max", around the island with our own driver. A lot of the excursions are a little off the beaten path, in all the best ways. Connect to the hills of Jamaica as well as its beaches, caves and falls. This is a unique fusion of family and tourist immersion into our island culture.
All initial deposits are non-refundable. Please get travel insurance for unforeseen needs.
*Though purchases are non-refundable, all registration options are transferable and/or can be credited toward our next YPiRs / Healing Arts Management event, should your plans change after purchase.

Explore YS Falls. Zipline if you dare!
Online information:
YS Falls opened in 1992. It is a nature-based attraction offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the waterfalls surrounded by lush gardens and magnificent trees. There are seven tiered waterfalls, several which cascade into natural pools. Some areas are fairly rocky and river shoes are recommended.
YS is the shortest place name in Jamaica. The current owners, the Browne family, acquired YS in 1887 when their great grand Uncle John travelled to London to purchase another property in St. Ann, Jamaica. When he arrived, that property had already been sold! He decided to buy YS, never having seen it before, and it has been in the family ever since.
YS was originally a cane farm, with a working sugar factory. YS Estate also supplied logwood for export to Europe, where the heart of the logwood tree was used for the purpose of making dye. However, With the introduction of synthetic dyes, the need for logwood dwindled, and sugar production across Jamaica decreased over time. In the 1960’s sugarcane was phased out altogether, and the Browne family decided to focus on breeding Pedigreed Red Poll Cattle and Thoroughbred Race horses.
Our personal experience:
The falls are very beautiful even though they were murky on the day that we went. The water is cooler so I suggest a quick dunk to get acclimated. This is an easy hike on the actual falls.
Join international best-selling author and Billboard-charting singer-songwriter John Stringer for a collaborative songwriting experience. Together as a group, you’ll co-create an original song from start to finish. John will guide the process step by step — drawing on years of experience facilitating songwriting for retreats and workshops around the world. By the end of the session, you’ll have written a complete group song that captures the spirit of our time together, a musical memory you’ll carry with you long after the retreat.
Take a 10 min walk down the hill, cross the road, and step unto the beach. This is not a part of the 7 mile strip so is less crowded with no hassles from vendors. It is perfect for that golden winter tan that is only available in the tropics!
Join us as we relax in the downstairs Serenity room with a soothing sound bath with Chakra singing bowls. We will be taken through an incredible experience with certified Big Glow Breathwork Practitioner Kathy Stringer. From a relaxed state, we then move into an healing revitalization with a healing concert by John Stringer.
Before Midnight: Do you need to let go of something from this past year? Write your desired "let go letter" and watch it get consumed by the communal fire on the beach. This fire is created by our neighborhood and is shared by the community of West End who gather on the beach for the new year's eve. Take your time to release your letters into the flame with intention to never look back!
Midnight: Let us call in the new year by watching the famous 7 mile Beach strip light up the sky! There is no other vantage point that this case be witnessed. The resorts along the strips try to outdo each other in a breathtaking display of lights and sounds. We observe from the safety of Quality on our own beach far away from the chaos. A 10 minute walk and you cross the road and run right into this bar. The frozen fruit drinks are amazing. You can have them with or without alcohol.
For all of your shopping and souvenir needs this craft market has multiple shops with artisans wood working and basket weaving right before your eyes. You can even customize your wood sculptures and pieces by having the artists carve your name into the piece. Sun dresses and beautiful garments can be made to order to your exact size.
Have you ever wanted to know how we cook that delicious meal? We encourage you to get in the kitchen to make a communal meal. If you are not one that enjoys this, you can be our taste testers. Buy spices and bring them back stateside at the market or even in the airport duty free. When you get back, you can surprise your friends and loved ones with a taste of the islands. Learn to cook the meal the way that our family feeds each other. Authentic meals the way that grandma made them!
We hop in the van and head over to our favorite sista Precious and her fruit stand with a whopping surprise in the back next to the sea! The new event space for Sugga Moon in Motego Bay is now our classroom. We will select fresh ingredients from the stand while learning how to select these same items when shopping in the States. Then we head to the open fiya to prep with her and the team. Then after it is slowly simmering, we enjoy the sea views and some beautiful music by John while we smell the food cooking from all of our combined efforts. Finally we enjoy our meal along with other delicious items freshly prepared by Precious and her team.
Our dish: Jamaican Ital Stew Recipe Jamaican Ital Stew is a hearty and flavorful dish rooted in the Rastafari tradition, focusing on natural, plant-based ingredients. The term "Ital" comes from "vital," signifying a diet essential for well-being and a connection to nature.
Note: Ital cooking generally avoids processed foods and emphasizes natural ingredients. Some strict interpretations avoid iodized salt, preferring sea or kosher salt instead.
As we leave this time together, we encourage you to share your thoughts on your experience of the time together. Enjoy your last day on the island and a promise to come back soon to Her healing waters soon! Special thanks for the Phoenix Serenity team. Big up yourself and Blessed love.
